Evolution

Medium – Clay, Resin, Aluminum, Wood

This is a tribute to Charles Darwin. Two hands are embracing their shared ancestry, the DNA double helix. One is the hand of a Bonobo monkey, the other is a human hand. They are growing out of a base of insect infested wood.

This work was sculpted in collaboration with Rosemary Breault-Landry (Sculptor), Cairn Cunnane (Metalworker) and Jim Lawrence (Woodworker).
